     NAME
          issue - issue identification file

     DESCRIPTION
          The file /etc/issue contains the issue or project
          identification to be printed as part of the login prompt.
          This is an ASCII file containing any text you choose and is
          read by program getty and then written to any terminal
          spawned or respawned from the inittab(4) file.
