     NAME
          intro - introduction to file formats

     DESCRIPTION
          This section outlines the formats of various files that are
          important to the system.

          The C struct declarations for the file formats are given
          where applicable.  Usually, these structures can be found in
          the directories /usr/include or /usr/include/sys.

          References of the type name(1M) refer to entries found in
          Section 1 of the System Manager's Reference for the DG/UX
