     NAME
          geteuid - Get the effective-user-id.

     SYNOPSIS
          int     geteuid ()

     PARAMETERS
          None.

     DESCRIPTION
          Geteuid returns the effective-user-id of the calling
          process.

     ACCESS CONTROL
          No access checking is performed.

     RETURN VALUE
          0..MAXUID      The return value is always the effective-
                         user-id of the calling process.

     EXCEPTIONS
          None.
