     NAME
          getegid - Get the effective-group-id.

     SYNOPSIS
          int     getegid ()

     PARAMETERS
          None.

     DESCRIPTION
          Getegid returns the effective-group-id of the calling
          process.

     ACCESS CONTROL
          No access checking is performed.

     RETURN VALUE
          0..MAXUID      The return value is always the effective-
                         group-id of the calling process.

     EXCEPTIONS
          None.
