     NAME
halt - stop the DG/UX System processor

     SYNOPSIS
          /etc/halt [ -n ] [ -q ]

     DESCRIPTION
Halt updates the file system (see sync(1m)) unmounts all
mounted file systems, and then stops the processor. This
transfers certain system information from main memory to
disk. By default, halt asks the user for confirmation and
          halts the processor.

          Options are:

-n Halt the processor without doing a sync(1m).
-q Halt quickly; do not ask the user for confirmation.

     SEE ALSO
          sync(1), reboot(2).

     WARNING
Using -n -q to shutdown quickly is dangerous, since it does
not stop file system activity before the halt is done.
