        ldtbseek                                               Subroutine
        seek to the symbol table of an executable file in DG/UX
        _________________________________________________________________

        SYNTAX

        #include <stdio.h>
        #include <sys/types.h>
        #include <filehdr.h>
        #include <ldfcn.h>

        int ldtbseek (ldptr)
        LDFILE *ldptr;

        DESCRIPTION

        Ldtbseek seeks to the symbol table of the executable file
        currently associated with ldptr.

        Ldtbseek returns SUCCESS or FAILURE. Ldtbseek will fail if the
        symbol table has been stripped from the executable file or if it
        cannot seek to the symbol table.

        The program must be loaded with the executable file access
        routine library libld.a.

        SEE ALSO

        ldclose(3X), ldopen(3X), ldtbread(3X), ldfcn(4).

        CAVEATS

        The executable file format is used only for executable files
        (load modules), not for object files.
