        SYNTAX

        /etc/devnm [ name ... ]

        DESCRIPTION

Devnm identifies the special file associated with the mounted
file system where the argument name resides. Argument names must
        be full pathnames.

This command is most commonly used by /etc/init.d/chk.fsck (see
brc(1m)) to construct a mount table entry for the root device.

        EXAMPLE

In the DG/UX System the command:
             /etc/devnm /usr
        produces
             dsk/usr
if /dev/dsk/usr is mounted as /usr.

        FILES

        /dev/dsk/*
        /etc/mnttab

        SEE ALSO
