RDB/VMS Relational Database Operator REFRESH — VMS RDB_3.1A
REFRESH MONITOR LOG Statement Closes the current Rdb/VMS monitor log file and opens another log file without stopping the monitor. You must have WORLD privilege to use the REFRESH MONITOR LOG statement. Digital Equipment Corporation recommends that you use the DCL-level RMU/MONITOR REOPEN_LOG command instead of the RDO REFRESH MONITOR LOG statement. While they have the same function and require the same privilege, the RDO REFRESH MONITOR LOG statement requires you to be attached to an Rdb/VMS database on your VAX node. (Attached means you have issued an INVOKE statement and have not yet issued a FINISH statement.) The equivalent RMU/MONITOR REOPEN_LOG command does not require you to be attached to the database.
