The STOP DISK_SERVER command and its options is used to stop or disable various Disk Server operations.

CONNECTIONS
The STOP DISK_SERVER CONNECTIONS command is used to stop the Disk Server from accepting connections to services, disconnect all connections currently active, dismount all mounted services, and to terminate the Disk Server interface program LAD$KERNEL. To restart the Disk Server, the system manager must execute the LAD_STARTUP command file.
FILE_SERVER
The STOP FILE_SERVER command and its options is used to stop or disable various File Server operations.

CONNECTIONS
The STOP FILE_SERVER CONNECTIONS command can be used to stop the
File Server from accepting connections to services, disconnect all
connections to a specified service, disconnect all connections
currently active, disconnect a specific connection, or stop
accepting connection requests from unregistered workstations.

/ALL_SERVICES/ID/SERVICE/UNREGISTERED
/ALL_SERVICES
/ALL_SERVICES The use of this qualifier will cause all connections and sessions for all services currently active to be disconnected, the logfile to be closed, and the File Server process to terminate. To restart the File Server, the system manager must execute the PCFS_STARTUP command file.
/ID
/ID=connection-id The use of this qualifier will cause the specific connection with the identifier connection-id to be disconnected. The connection-id is obtained from the SHOW FILE_SERVER CONNECTIONS command.
/SERVICE
/SERVICE=service-name The use of this qualifier will cause all connections that are active for the service service-name to be disconnected.
/UNREGISTERED
/UNREGISTERED This qualifier will disallow workstations that are not registered in the local DECnet node database from connecting to the File Server.
LOGGING
The STOP FILE_SERVER LOGGING command disables the logging of File
Server events.

/EVENTS=(option[,...]) Controls what events are disabled for logging to the File Server log file. The options consist of any of the events listed below: ALL All event types CONNECTIONS Connections to services DEFAULT Default event types (see below) ERRORS Nonfatal errors FATAL Fatal errors LOCKS MS-DOS file lock and unlock requests OPENS File open and close requests OPERATOR Operator actions PROTOCOL Protocol errors READS File read and write requests SECURITY Security violations SESSIONS DECnet connections If this qualifier is omitted, then all event classes will be disabled. The default events are ERRORS, FATAL, OPERATOR, PROTOCOL and SECURITY.
SESSION
The STOP FILE_SERVER SESSION command disconnects the DECnet session
and connections to all services for a specified workstation.

STOP FILE_SERVER SESSION node-name
