The SPOOL statement is obsolete in Rdb/VMS.  The
 RMU/BACKUP/AFTER_JOURNAL command replaces the SPOOL statement.  The
 SPOOL statement is maintained for compatibility with applications
 that used previous versions of Rdb/VMS.  However, DIGITAL recommends
 that you use the RMU/BACKUP/AFTER_JOURNAL command instead of the
 SPOOL statement.
