Micro Focus
NAME
cob
DESCRIPTION
The cob command invokes the Micro Focus COBOL compiler.
NOTES
To access the Micro Focus COBOL offerings licensed through Digital Equipment Corporation, the COBDIR environment variable must be set to the path of the installed product and the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable must include the path of the COBOL shared libraries $COBDIR/coblib:
COBDIR=/usr/lib/cmplrs/cob
export COBDIR
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$COBDIR/coblib
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH
Or in the C shell:
setenv COBDIR /usr/lib/cmplrs/cob
setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH $COBDIR/coblib
