x29remotesetup − Modify the remote PAD profile

/usr/sbin/x29remotesetup

DESCRIPTION

The x29remotesetup utility provides an interactive facility for modifying the remote PAD profile. 

After displaying the current contents of the remote PAD profile, information about the PAD parameters to be sent to the remote PAD is requested.  Since it may not be necessary to send all 22 parameters, the utility allows parameters to be omitted from the profile.  To omit a PAD parameter from the profile, press <Return> without specifying a parameter value. 

Next, the utility prompts for the actions the X.29 Server should perform upon receipt of a break message and an interrupt.  The possible actions can be any combination of the following:

       •Reset the call. 

       •Purge all input in the terminal driver. 

       •Clear the call. 

       •Send up to 15 characters to the pseudo-terminal. 

Finally, the utility prompts for the value of the hold timer in twentieths (1/20) of a second.  The value of the timer can be in the range 0 to 255, with 0 disabling the hold timer. 

NOTES

Superuser privilege is required to modify the remote PAD profile.
