NAME

gettydefs − X.29 terminal attributes entry

SYNOPSIS

/etc/gettydefs

DESCRIPTION

X.25 for Digital UNIX allows an x29 entry to be added to the gettydefs file.  The x29 entry is accessed by x29logind(8X25) after receiving an incoming X.29 call to determine the login message to be displayed.  If the x29 entry is missing from the gettydefs file, then the login message is taken from the first gettydefs entry.

The format of the x29 entry is as follows:

x29###Message#x29

When displaying Message, the character sequence %h is replaced by the host name and the character sequence %t is replaced by the terminal name.  For further information on the format of gettydefs entries see gettydefs(4).

EXAMPLES

The following example shows the default x29 entry supplied with X.25 for Digital UNIX:

 x29###\n\r(%h)\r\n\nUNAUTHORIZED ACCESS IS PROHIBITED\n\r\n\rlogin: #x29
