update_mopdb − Upgrades the Phase IV MOP database to the new Phase V MOP client database

DESCRIPTION

If your DECnet-Plus system will be a RIS server or Digital UNIX load host, you need to create the new MOP client database required by the MOP V4 protocol.  Create this database using update_mopdb, which upgrades the Phase IV MOP database, /usr/lib/dnet/nodes_p, to the new Phase V MOP client database, /var/dna/mop_client_db. 

During installation, if you have a nodes_p and no existing MOP client database on your system, decnetsetup automatically runs update_mopdb to create a new MOP client database for you.  If decnetsetup did not run update_mopdb on your system, do so manually as described in the DECnet-Plus for Digital UNIX Installation manual.
