NAME

tkadmin enable mediaarchiving - enables media archiving for a server

SYNOPSIS

tkadmin enable mediaarchiving -server servername

ARGUMENTS

-server servername Specifies the server affected by the command. The server name is the name that is registered with the DCE Directory Service. If the server name is not specified in the command line, it is retrieved from an environment variable, ENCINA_TK_SERVER. 

DESCRIPTION

The tkadmin enable mediaarchiving command enables the archiving of log records for the specified Toolkit server. To back up and restore server data in the event of a media failure, media archiving must be enabled. 

EXAMPLES

The following command enables media archiving for the server /.:/branch1/server/sfs1 :

% tkadmin enable mediaarchiving -server /.:/branch1/server/sfs1

Encina RQS administer (a) permission to the RQS server

Encina SFS administer (A) permission to the SFS server
