NAME

tkadmin disable mediaarchiving - disables media archiving for the specified server

SYNOPSIS

tkadmin disable mediaarchiving -server servername

ARGUMENTS

-server servername Specifies the server affected by the command. The server name is the name that is registered with the DCE Directory Service. If the server name is not specified in the command line, it is retrieved from an environment variable, ENCINA_TK_SERVER. 

DESCRIPTION

The tkadmin disable mediaarchiving command disables the archiving of log records for the specified Toolkit server. You can use this command to disable media archiving for a server while the server is running. 

CAUTIONS

If you disable media archiving, you cannot restore server data after a media failure. 

EXAMPLES

The following command stops media archiving for the server /.:/branch1/server/sfs1 :

% tkadmin disable mediaarchiving -server /.:/branch1/server/sfs1
