PSPMCI(3g)  —  Subroutines

Name

PSPMCI − Defines a polymarker color index.

Operating States: PHOP, ∗, STOP, ∗
PHIGS standard function
Creates a structure element

Syntax

PSPMCI (COLI)

Argument        Data Type     Access     Description
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
COLI            Integer       Read       Color index
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Description

PSPMCI creates or redefines a polymarker color index that points to an entry in the workstation color table.  Depending on the current edit mode, this function either inserts the new structure element directly after the element indicated by the pointer or replaces the element indicated by the pointer.  The pointer then points to the new set polymarker color index element.

The set polymarker color index element has the following effects during structure traversal:

•Digital PHIGS sets the current polymarker color index entry in the PHIGS traversal state list to the specified value.  If the corresponding current polymarker color index ASF entry is INDIVIDUAL, Digital PHIGS uses the polymarker color index value when traversing subsequent polymarker and polymarker 3 primitives.  If the ASF value is BUNDLED, this function has no effect on primitives created subsequent to the call.

•Digital PHIGS uses index value 1 if the requested polymarker color index is not available on the workstation.

If Digital PHIGS is in immediate mode, it performs this function immediately, but the function does not create a structure element.

See the PSPMI function for information about defining a bundled polymarker color index factor value.
