ARRAY-MATH(3DXML) — Subroutines
Digital
Name
array-math − A library of linear algebra routines
Description
The array math routines are a part of the Digital Extended Math Library (DXML). This includes a set of standard mathematical functions operating on an array. On superscalar architectures such as Alpha AXP, operating on an array of data provides significantly better performance than a loop of scalar operations.
The following routines are included in array-math. The Subprogram Name is the name of the manual page containing documentation on the subprogram.
| Subprogram Name | Operation |
| vsqrt | Calculates, in double-precision arithmetic, the square root of N elements of a vector. |
| vcos | Calculates, in double-precision arithmetic, the cosine of N elements of a vector. |
| vsin | Calculates, in double-precision arithmetic, the sine of N elements of a vector. |
| vrecip | Calculates, in double-precision arithmetic, the reciprocal of N elements of a vector. |
| vlog | Calculates, in double-precision arithmetic, the natural logarithm of N elements of a vector. |
| vexp | Calculates, in double-precision arithmetic, the exponential function of N elements of a vector. |
| vcos_sin | Calculates, in double-precision arithmetic, the sine and cosine of N elements of a vector. |
