REMEMBER
Ends ("remembers") a learn sequence. See help on the LEARN command.
Keys: EVE Default WPS Keypad
-----------------------------------------
CTRL/R GOLD-` (WPS Halt)
Steps:
1. Press a key defined as REMEMBER (see key list above).
Do NOT type the REMEMBER command to end a learn sequence. If you
type REMEMBER, that command itself is remembered as part of the
sequence. Instead, use CTRL/R or a key you defined as REMEMBER.
2. At the prompt, press the key you want to use for the learn sequence:
Function key ........... such as F20, PF3, KP0, or ENTER
GOLD key sequence ...... such as GOLD-A or GOLD-PF3
Control key ............ such as CTRL/D
Shifted function key ... such as SHIFT/F14 (DECwindows only)
ALT key combination .... such as ALT/Z (DECwindows only)
Mouse .................. such as MB3CLICK (DECwindows only)
To cancel the operation---no key defined, sequence not remembered---
press the RETURN key or CTRL/M which cannot be redefined.
Usage notes:
o The definition overrides any current definition of the key, whether EVE
default, EDT, WPS, or your own. The definition remains in effect
throughout your editing session or until you redefine the key.
o To save learn sequences for future editing sessions, use SAVE EXTENDED
EVE or SAVE ATTRIBUTES to create a section file. You cannot put learn
sequences in an initialization file.
o Learn sequences record keystrokes, rather than the key definitions at
the time the sequence was created. Therefore, before you "replay" a
learn sequence, check that any keys used in the learn sequence are
defined appropriately and also that any settings that affect the
sequence are correct (such as bound or free cursor, margins, tab stops,
pending delete, box select, box padding, and so on). Otherwise, the
learn sequence may fail or may not work as expected.
