LADCP UNBIND — VMS 5.4

        Format: UNBIND dad-device

This command is used to UNBIND a DAD device from a service name, and delete
the device.  This command will also break any connections that exist for the
device.  The DAD device is deleted when all channels to the device are
deassigned.

You cannot UNBIND a device that has been mounted.  Once a DAD device has
been mounted, the VMS command DISMOUNT/UNLOAD will handle deleting the
DAD device.  UNBIND handles the case where a device is not mounted, if for
example the service name were entered incorrectly, and the device cannot

        UNBIND DAD3:

This command causes the DAD unit 3 to be dis-associated from the service
name that BIND associated it to, and to delete the unit.
