 This topic provides information about context-sensitive
 help. Context-sensitive help is help text that is
 displayed when you press the Help key and then click
 on an object on your workstation screen.

 For example:

 1. Move the mouse pointer to the Close Book button in
    the Bookreader selection window.

 2. Press and hold the Help key.

 3. Click on MB1.

    When you release MB1, a help window containing help
    text about the Close Book button is displayed.

 Bookshelves contain groups of related books to make the
 process of locating the book you want easy. Choose the
 Open Shelf menu item from the Control menu to open a
 bookshelf.

 To view a book that is on a bookshelf, you must first
 open that bookshelf. To open a bookshelf:

 1. Move the pointer to the title you want and click
    MB1.

 2. Choose the Open Shelf menu item from the Control
    menu.

    A list of the books on the bookshelf appears in the
    selection window.

 Choose the Open Book menu item from the Control menu to
 open a book. To open a book:

 1. Move the pointer to the book title you want and
    click MB1.

 the sections in which the entry appears. Click on the
 section you want to view.

 to the left of the Extensions menu item. When no toggle
 button is visable to the left of the Extensions menu
 item, language extension highlighting is disabled.

 You can use scroll bars to display information outside
 the borders of a window. A scroll bar has stepping
 arrows at each end of a scroll region and a slider
 within the scroll region.

 For more information about using a scroll bar, double

 Stepping arrows are the triangles that appear at each
 end of a scroll bar.

 To move the window one line in the direction of the
 stepping arrow, move the pointer to a stepping arrow
 and click MB1. This allows you to move through the
 information in the window at a pace that is easy to
 view.

 To move the window continuously in the direction of the
 stepping arrow, move the pointer to a stepping arrow.
 Press and hold MB1. This allows you to scroll through
 the information in a window at a faster pace.

scroll region

 The scroll region is the area between the stepping
 arrows that does not fit in the window.

 To move the information in the window by one window
 length, move the pointer to the scroll region and click
 MB1.

slider

 The slider is the rectangle that appears in the scroll
 bar. The size of the slider indicates how much of the
 information appears on the screen. For example, if the
 slider takes up 10 percent of the scrolling region,
 only 10 percent of the information is displayed in the
 window.

 To move quickly through the information, move the
 pointer to the slider. Press MB1, and drag the slider
 up and down through the scrolling region. When you
 release MB1, the information from the position in the
 information indicated by the slider is displayed in the
 window.

 The Bookreader lets you read online documentation
 on your workstation screen. Bookreader contains two
 windows: a selection window and a topic window.

 The selection window includes a library of bookshelves
 and books that are available from the Bookreader. When
 you choose a book from the selection window, Bookreader
 will open a topic window.

 The topic window contains the book that you want
 to read. The table of contents is displayed in the
 selection window.

    system) in the Icon Box.

 The selection window opens, listing the library of
 bookshelves and books available from the Bookreader.

 When the Bookreader is started, the selection window
 usually contains a list of bookshelves and books.

 Bookshelves contain groups of related books to make the

 For easy navigation of the table of contents and index,
 use the vertical scroll bar on the selection window.

 To navigate quickly up or down the table of contents
 or index, drag the slider in the scroll bar with MB1.
 As you drag the slider, an index window displays the
 entries represented by that region of the scroll bar.
 Release MB1 to bring that region into the selection

 contents or index.

 Click on the area above or below the slider to bring
 the previous or next window of entries into the
 selection window.

 When you select a topic from the table of contents or
 index, it is displayed in the topic window. Use the
 following buttons to aid you while you are reading a
 book:

 Previous    Read backward from one topic to the
 Topic       previous

 Next Topic  Read forward from one topic to the next

 More        Move forward within a topic

 Some topics are longer than the window. Use the scroll
 bar to navigate up and down the topic.

 Most books contain figures, tables, or examples within
 the text. Cross-references in text to figures, tables,
 and examples are "hot spots." That is, if you point
 to the reference and click MB1, the figure, table, or
 example is displayed in a separate window.

 To view a figure, table, or example:

 1. Move the pointer to the figure, table, or example
    reference. A rectangle will surround the reference.

 2. Click MB1. The figure, table, or example is
    displayed in a separate window. The window is sized
    according to the dimensions of that topic.

 When you are finished viewing the figure, table, or
 example, click on the Close Topic button.

 You can also shrink these windows to icons. Shrinking a
 window to an icon enables you to save the window until
 you do not need it anymore.

 To close a book or bookshelf, click on the Close Book,
 Close Shelf, or Library button at the bottom of the
 selection window.

 Clicking on the Close Book button takes you back to the
 bookshelf from which that book was selected. Similarly,
 clicking on the Close Shelf button takes you back to
 the window from which that bookshelf was selected.

 When you are viewing a book in a shelf, clicking on
 the Library button takes you back to the top bookshelf,
 or in other words, the top level of the Bookreader
 library.

 Close a topic by clicking on the Close Topic button.
