LATCP DELETE — VMS 5.1-B

 Deletes either an applications or dedicated port, or a  service  name
 from your service node.

 Format:

    DELETE option

PORT

 Deletes the  specified  applications  or  dedicated  port  from  your
 service  node.   The  DELETE PORT command stops any active session on
 the port before deleting it.

 Format:

    DELETE PORT port-name

 port-name

 Specifies the name of the applications or  dedicated  port  that  you
 want  deleted.   The  port must have been created previously with the
 CREATE PORT command.  Use the SHOW PORTS command for a  list  of  the
 applications  and  dedicated  ports that are defined for your service
 node.  You must specify the name  of  the  port  when  you  use  this
 command.

SERVICE

 Deletes a service from your service node.  The service is  no  longer
 available  to terminal server users and is no longer multicast in the
 configuration messages sent by your service node.

 Format:

    DELETE SERVICE service-name

 service-name

 Specifies the name of the service, created previously with the CREATE
 SERVICE  command,  that  you want deleted from your service node.  To
 find service  names,  use  the  SHOW  CHARACTERISTICS  command.   The
 default is the translation of the SYS$NODE logical name.

/LOG

    /LOG   (D)
    /NOLOG

 Specifies whether the characteristics for your service node are to be
 displayed when this command is executed.
