CHANGE MODE
Changes ("toggles") the mode for entering text in the current buffer --
either insert or overstrike -- as shown in the status line.
o The mode of the buffer affects the commands DELETE, ERASE CHARACTER,
and RESTORE CHARACTER, and similar EDT and WPS keypad functions.
o For editing text, the default is INSERT MODE. For typing commands, the
mode matches your terminal setting.
Keys: EVE defines CTRL/A and F14 as CHANGE MODE. The VT100 keypad
defines CTRL/A and ENTER (on the keypad).
