xpresto(8)
Name
xpresto − graphically display Prestoserve state and statistics
Syntax
/usr/etc/xpresto [ generic X toolkit arguments ] [ hostname ]
Description
The xpresto command is an X-windows application that graphically displays a machine’s Prestoserve state and statistics. The machine name is specified by hostname. If hostname is not specified, it defaults to the local host.
Prestoserve is a pseudodevice driver that improves the performance of accelerated file systems. It reduces disk I/O by caching synchronous disk write operations. The xpresto comand allows a user to visually inspect the Prestoserve state and statistics from any X display.
The xpresto command obtains Prestoserve information by using remote procedure calls to the specified host. The polling time is controlled by the Sample time slider; the units are seconds.
You can change the host that is being monitored by editing the host name and hitting the Return key or by clicking the left mouse button on the Host field.
The Size field displays the amount of memory that is being utilized by the cache. For example, 504 Kbytes indicates 516096 bytes.
The Presto State field indicates if Prestoserve is enabled or disabled. The Up button is depressed if Prestoserve is enabled. The Down button is depressed if Prestoserve is disabled. An option to the control service allows you to change the Prestoserve state by clicking the left mouse button on the button that represents the desired state.
The last line of the display is dedicated to error and status messages.
If the option for remote control has not been enabled on the server, a message is displayed indicating that changes are not allowed.
