NAME

tmpfile − create a temporary file

SYNTAX

FILE ∗tmpfile ()

DESCRIPTION

The tmpfile subroutine creates a temporary file and returns a corresponding FILE pointer.  The file will automatically be deleted when the process using it terminates.  The file is opened for update.
