Name

xlsfonts - X Window System font list displayer

Syntax

xlsfonts [ options ] [ pattern ]

Arguments

patternSpecifies the pattern that xlsfonts is to match when displaying a list of available fonts.  For example, to display a list of all available fonts that have the suffix .dwf, you would invoke the command xlsfonts *.dwf.  If you do not specify a pattern, a list of all available fonts is displayed.  A question mark (?) matches any one character, and an asterisk (*) matches any sequence of zero or more characters.  If no fonts match, nothing is displayed.

Description

The xlsfonts command displays a list of all available fonts for a given display that match the specified pattern.

Options

−1Indicates that listing should display a single column.

−CIndicates that the listing should display multiple columns.

−d dispnameSpecifies the display screen on which xlsfonts displays its window.  If the display option is not specified, xlsfonts uses the display screen specified by your DISPLAY environment variable.  The display option has the format hostname:number.  Using two colons (::) instead of one (:) indicates that DECnet is to be used for transport.  The default is :0.  For more information, see X(.).

−display dispnameThis option is the same as the −d option.

−lIndicates that a long listing should be used.

−mIndicates that a long listing should be used and that the minimum and maximum bounds of each font should be printed.
