NAME

maus − Multiple Access User Space

DESCRIPTION

The maus special files are used for accessing the MAUS logical subsections.  Processes can share memory by attaching the same maus subsections through these special files.  maus files have the same major device number as that of mem(4). 

RESTRICTIONS

8K bytes of data space is allocated for the process attaching a maus subsection.
