NAME
intro − introduction to device special files
DESCRIPTION
This section describes the special files that refer to the peripheral devices and their related driver functions that are available on the ULTRIX-11 system. The DIAGNOSTICS section on each manual page lists those messages that can occur because of device operation errors. Most special files are identified by the page number (4) at the top of the page. However, some special files also have a section number modifier:
