NAME

ttyslot − find name of a terminal

SYNTAX

int ttyslot()

DESCRIPTION

This is the ULTRIX-11 version, see also ttyslot(3v) for a SYSTEM V compatible version.  The ttyslot subroutine returns the number of the entry in the ttys(5) file for the control terminal of the current process. 

DIAGNOSTICS

The ttyslot subroutine returns 0 if /etc/ttys is inaccessible or if it cannot determine the control terminal.
