clear, clr − clear terminal screen

SYNTAX

clear
clr

DESCRIPTION

The clear command if possible clears your terminal screen.  It looks in the environment for the terminal type and then in /etc/termcap to figure out how to clear the screen. 

The clr command is a link to clear.
