NAME

advfs_get_file_attributes − Get the AdvFS attributes of a file

SYNOPSIS

        int fd,
        fileAttributesT ∗fileAttributes );

PARAMETERS

fdAn open file descriptor of the file for which you want to obtain the attributes. 

∗fileAttributes
A pointer to a structure that will contain the file attributes on successful return from the function.

DESCRIPTION

This function returns the AdvFS-specific attributes of the file specified by the fd parameter in the specified fileAttributes structure. 

RETURN VALUES

The  function returns a value of 0 (zero) on successful completion.  The function returns a value of -1 on failure and sets the value of errno to the specific error. 

ERRORS

The function sets errno to the specified errors for the following failure conditions:

[EBADF]
The file descriptor fd is not pointing to a file that resides in an AdvFS fileset. 

[EIO]
An I/O error occurred on one of the disks containing the file.

[ENOMEM]
There is not enough memory available for the operation.
