fdSpecifies a file descriptor returned by the t_open() function that identifies an active, previously bound local transport endpoint.

VALID STATES

The t_bind() function can be called only in the T_IDLE transport provider state.

DESCRIPTION

The t_unbind() XTI service function is used in connection-oriented and connectionless modes to disable the transport endpoint, specified by the file descriptor that was previously bound by a t_bind() call. When t_bind() completes, no further data destined for this transport endpoint or events are accepted by the transport provider. An endpoint that has been disabled using t_unbind() can be enabled by a subsequent call to t_bind().

RETURN VALUES

Upon successful completion, a value of 0 (zero) is returned. Otherwise, a value of -1 is returned and t_errno is set to indicate the error. 

ERRORS

If the t_unbind() function fails, t_errno is set to one of the following values:

[TBADF]File descriptor fd is not a valid transport endpoint. 

[TOUTSTATE]
This function was issued in the wrong sequence.

[TLOOK]An asynchronous event occurred at the transport endpoint specified by the fd parameter. 

[TSYSERR]A system error occurred during execution of this function. 

[TPROTO]This error indicates that a communication problem has been detected between XTI and the transport provider for which there is no other suitable XTI(t_errno).
