pg − Interphase FDDI (Fiber Distributed Data Interface) LAN Controller

DESCRIPTION

The Interphase 4211 PG (Peregrine) VMEbus FDDI controller provides host access to FDDI networks.  Class A Dual Attachment and Class B Single Attachment configurations as defined in ANSI X3T9.5 are supported. 

After initialization, the FDDI network interface is accessed via the standard TCP/IP protocol software described by socket(2).  The interface is typically initialized by ifconfig(1M) at boot time from rc(1M).
