NAME
mcode − report revision level of CX microcode
SYNOPSIS
/etc/mcode microcode-filename ...
DESCRIPTION
The utility mcode determines revision levels of microcode files which reside on the CX/UX system disk. The correct revision levels of these microcode files is documented in the release notes for the current CX/UX operating system release.
The release level of the microcode actually running on your CX machine can be determined as follows: Note the names of the microcode files loaded by the console processor. These names are reported by the console processor during a system boot. Use the mcode utility on these files after the system is booted.
FILES
/hdcwcs HVME Disk Controller (HDC) microcode.
/hsawcs HVME SCSI Adaptor (HSA) microcode.
DIAGNOSTICS
The mcode utility reports "not a regular file", if the file specified is a directory, a character special device, or any other non-regular file.
The mcode utility reports "not a microcode file", if the file specified is a regular file which can’t be identified as a microcode file.
