NAME

MAKEHOSTS − Make commands for each hostname

SYNOPSIS

/usr/hosts/MAKEHOSTS

DESCRIPTION

MAKEHOSTS creates a command for each hostname and hostname alias described in the /etc/hosts file. These commands are created in the /usr/hosts directory.  Each command is merely a hard link to /usr/ucb/rsh.  The resulting commands implement the capability to invoke rlogin(1C) or rsh(1C) by merely specifying the hostname.

This command can only be executed by root.

FILES

/usr/hosts/∗ /etc/hosts
