NAME

zpio - compressed cpio archiver

SYNOPSIS

zpio [ -D DESCRIPTION ][ -Q ][ -N ][ cpio-options...  ]

DESCRIPTION

 
The zpio writes and reads compressed cpio archives.  It writes one version and description header at the beginning of the archive. 
 
 
Zpio will allow the following command line options:

D DESCRIPTION
Specify an archive description string when writing

N No warning the archive does not match Zpio’s version number

Q Query the archive header. 

Other options are passed to cpio appropriately.
