A2024(1A)  —  MISC REFERENCE MANUAL PAGES

NAME

A2024 − Determines whether high resolution mode is on or off.

SYNOPSIS

ln /bin/true /usr/amiga/bin/A2024

ln /bin/true /usr/amiga/bin/A2024

DESCRIPTION

You link /usr/amiga/bin/A2024 to either /bin/true or /bin/false to turn high resolution mode on or off.  Linking it to /bin/true turns high resolution on.  Linking it to /bin/false turns high resolution off.

You can also use I. sioc setdisplaytype to turn high resolution on or off for a session.  Linking A2024 to /bin/true or /bin/false determines whether your computer boots in high resolution mode.  sioc setdisplaytype lets you toggle high resolution on or off for the current session.  Type sioc setdisplaytype +4 to turn high resolution on for a session. Type sioc setdisplaytype -4 to turn high resolution off for a session.

EXAMPLES

Turn high resolution mode on:

ln /bin/true /usr/amiga/bin/A2024

Turn high resolution mode off:

ln /bin/true /usr/amiga/bin/A2024

FILES

/bin/false - link to /usr/amiga/bin/A2024 to turn high resolution off.  /bin/true - link to /usr/amiga/bin/A2024 to enable high resolution mode.
