NAME

watson − User interface to whois database

SYNOPSIS

inquire [username]

DESCRIPTION

watson is part of the finger distribution.  watson is used by new users to describe themselves to other users on them system.  watson keeps track of various things about the user that include: a nickname, work address, work phone, home address, home phone, birthday, current project, supervisor, and a remark. 

OPTIONS

username
is the login name of user whose database you wish to modify.  If this option is not given the current user’s id will be used.

NOTES

watson is actually a bourne shell script that uses inquire(8l) as its interface to the whois database.  it.
