NAME

mvdir − move a directory

SYNOPSIS

/etc/mvdir dirname  name

DESCRIPTION

Mvdir renames directories within a file system.  Dirname must be a directory; name must not exist.  Neither name may be a sub-set of the other (/x/y cannot be moved to /x/y/z, nor vice versa). 

Only super-user can use mvdir.
