Not really. The goal of "Plug-and-Play" is to make much easier the task of installing new hardware on Windows. With the BeOS, you plug things in and they start working.

Unfortunately, the hardware side of Plug-and-Play can sometimes interfere with the discovery and usage of hardware in your system. We recommend that you turn Plug-and-Play support off in your PC's BIOS settings, as we find that this makes a whole host of "quirky" problems disappear.
