We're running Free BSD and the Apache web server software on a generic Intel box (a Pentium clone @ 200 MHz). We co-locate the server at our ISP (WebCondo), so generally our server and the pipe that serves it are quite fast -- the equivalent of 3 T1 lines normally, and more when traffic warrants it.
