When I play a QuickTime movie, I don't hear any sound. Do you support sound in QuickTime movies?

The BeOS is currently able to play "flattened" QuickTime movies compressed with the Cinepak compressor, but it does not support the full QuickTime API. Part of what we don't support yet is sound inside movie files.

Various third-party developers have implemented more complete support of the QuickTime format (as well as other formats) through our DataTypes library. Check BeWare in the Libraries section for the currently available DataType plug-ins.
