Does the BeOS have a text/command line mode or is it completely graphical (even during boot)?

The BeOS does provide command line interaction via the Terminal application, which is a Bash shell. Many commands familiar to Unix users are available, including the familiar ls, grep, awk, etc. However, much of the BeOS environment (e.g., screen settings) can only be accessed using the graphical environment.

The boot sequence is completely graphical, although a text mode at boot has been under discussion.
