NAME
rstatd - system statistics daemon
SYNOPSIS
rstatd
DESCRIPTION
The rstatd program provides an RPC interface to kernel statistics. The
server reply includes CPU, virtual memory, network and disk statistics.
The rstatd process is normally started at boot time from /etc/rc.local.

AUTHORS
Rstatd is derived from the Sun Microsystems public RPC distribution.
BUGS
When running, the daemon grabs statistics from the kernel once per sec-
ond. The overhead is not insubstantial.
