   NAME
         statd - network status monitor

   SYNOPSIS
         /usr/lib/nfs/statd

   DESCRIPTION
         statd is an intermediate version of the status monitor.  It interacts
         with lockd(1M) to provide the crash and recovery functions for the
         locking services on NFS.
