keyset(1M) keyset(1M)NAME keyset - sets the keyboard for the console SYNOPSIS keyset [-c country] [-k keyboard] ARGUMENTS -c country Specifies the country or region for which you want to map the keyboard. Replace country with one of the following: Australia, Britain, Denmark, Dutch, Finland, Flemish, FrCanada, France, Germany, Greece1, Greece2, Iceland, Italy, Norway, Spain, Sweden, SwissFrench, SwissGerman, Turkey, USA, or Yugoslavia. If you don't specify a country, keyset reads the existing value for country from within the global System file: /mac/sys/System Folder/System -k keyboard Specifies the type of keyboard you want. If you don't specify a keyboard type, keyset reads the file /dev/kmem and uses the type that was in effect upon startup. Replace keyboard with one of the following values: adbext for ADB extended adbiso for ADB ISO adbstd for ADB standard DESCRIPTION keyset sets the console's keyboard to your specifications by updating the global Macintosh System file in /mac/sys/System Folder. The country and keyboard arguments can be used to specify the mapping for the keyboard according to the country or region you are in and the type of keyboard you want. You must run the keyset command while using the Console Emulator session type because the Macintosh environment cannot be running while you give the keyset command. It returns 1 to indicate an error in setting the new keyboard map or in deciphering the command request.
