     NAME
          HOSTNAME - hostname and domainname database

     DESCRIPTION
          HOSTNAME resides in the /etc directory and consists  of  one
          line containing the following items of information

               hostname domainname

          Items are separated by any number  of  blanks  and/or  tabs.
          There must be no white space at the beginning of the line.

          hostname is the name of the local host machine  and  domain-
          name is the name of the Yellow Pages domain on which the lo-
          cal host resides.
