NAME pwd - print working directory name SYNOPSIS pwd DESCRIPTION pwd prints the pathname of the working (current) directory. EXAMPLES pwd produces a pathname, such as /usr/games, indicating the directory you are currently in. FILES /bin/pwd SEE ALSO csh(1), ksh(1), sh(1). DIAGNOSTICS ``Cannot open ..'' and ``Read error in ...'' indicate possi- ble file system trouble and should be referred to a system administrator. April, 1990 1
