     NAME
          acos, dacos - FORTRAN arccosine intrinsic function

     SYNOPSIS
          real r1, r2
          double precision dp1, dp2

          r2 = acos(r1)

          dp2 = dacos(dp1)
          dp2 = acos(dp1)

     DESCRIPTION
          acos returns the real arccosine of its real argument.  dacos
          returns the double-precision arccosine of its double-
          precision argument.  The generic form acos may be used with
          impunity because its argument determines the type of the
          returned value.
