     NAME
          at_rtmpd - AppleTalk's Routing Table Maintenance Protocol
          Daemon

     SYNOPSIS
          /usr/lib/appletalk/atrtmpd

     DESCRIPTION
          This daemon is present as long a the AppleTalk network is
          up; it is responsible for various services related to
          maintaining the information as what the best route is to
          send messages from one node to another. Its services are
          rather limited when residing on a simple node (i.e. not a
          bridge): it sends messages to the Name Binding Protocol
          Daemon (NBPD) on a regular basis to "tickle" it into
          updating its Names Table.  It also maintains the value of
          A-BRIDGE, the node-ID of any bridge on the local network.
